I’ve been learning a lot about Krashen and his Comprehension Hypothesis lately and I’ve decided to incorporate lots of reading into my L2 study. I have materials that I’m interested in, but not many of them have corresponding audio. Is reading out-loud preferable to reading silently in the absence of an audiobook? Are there any techniques you use while reading that is helpful, such as importing sentences into Anki? Or should I just read and read and read and let the language naturally be absorbed?
